Join Carlos Pereira (Autism Society Alberta Resource and Training Manager) as he presents the Alberta Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol (APRP)which is required by anyone working with individuals with disabilities, especially those that are Family Managed (FMS) administrators. Carlos will also go over a general overview on how to recruit Respite Workers which ties into the subject matter you will learn with APRP. You will have an opportunity to ask questions real time and will receive a certificate of participation when completed.
Carlos Pereira has worked in the Human Services field for over 15 years. He is a certified instructor in Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Low Arousal Crisis De-escalation and Psychological First Aid. He also has worked for 10 years in the private sector in Human Resources and Occupational Health and Safety and specializes in facilitating training for adults.
