This presentation will be hosted by Carlos Pereira from Autism Edmonton This will help people develop a basic understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will learn a general overview of what ASD is, the characteristics of ASD, how to support individuals with ASD and have the time to ask some questions at the end of the session.
Carlos Pereira has worked in the Human Services field for over 15 years. He is a certified instructor in Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Low Arousal Crisis De-escalation and Psychological First Aid. He also has worked for 10 years in the private sector in Human Resources and Occupational Health and Safety and specializes in facilitating training for adults.
