Customized Independent Living from the Tetra Society of North America

Recorded March 7, 2024. This presentation introduces the Tetra Society of North America and outlines what they do, how they do it, and how to get involved or request assistance.

Tetra is a non-profit organization that recruits skilled volunteers to design and construct unique assistive devices for individuals with disabilities with no cost for labour.

Crystal Leochko Johnston has been the Prairie Regional Coordinator for Tetra since 2021. She previously was the Winnipeg Chapter Coordinator, having joined Tetra in 2019. She is also the President and a Prospect Researcher at Eclipse Research Group, the company she founded in 2015 to provide non-profits with the research they need to find and connect with the right donors for their organization. She has been a researcher for over 15 years, starting her career in donor prospect research in 2009. She has always had a passion for research and a desire to change the world through philanthropy. Crystal serves on the boards for the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Manitoba Chapter and the Rossdale Ukrainian Dance School. In her spare time she enjoys reading, writing and travelling with her family
