Dietician 101

Recorded February 6, 2023. This is the first of a regular series of information sessions on what a dietitian is, what they do, and how they can help you or the person you are caring for. The series following this one will be on specific issues, concerns etc., that families/individuals encounter regarding food and nutrition. It will also focus on helping those with disabilities.

Join Kelly Reinprecht, RD to learn about registered dietitians, leading experts in all thing’s food and nutrition. Did you know that dietitians are everywhere and offer many services to help individuals, families and groups? Kelly presents on when to seek help from a dietitian and how to access their services in Alberta. You will also learn how to access existing nutrition resources to help you and your family eat well and be well.

Kelly Reinprecht is a registered dietitian with 13 years of practice experience in Alberta. Kelly launched Helpful Nutrition & Health Navigation not only to help with diet and nutrition concerns, but to provide support to caregivers and clients navigating the complex health and social systems. Kelly has a passion for helping those who are vulnerable including older adults, those with disabilities, and marginalized population groups. Kelly has a wholistic approach to care and thinks outside the box to problem solve with clients to reduce stress and maximize wellness. As a neurodivergent person with neurodivergent kiddos, Kelly has firsthand experience with challenges that can arise with various diagnosis and is looking forward to presenting (and learning more) from this group.
