Disabilities & Finance Part 2: Budgeting

Recorded May 23, 2023

This is the second in our series on “Financial Planning For People With Disabilities” Presented by Autism Alberta’s Family Resource Centres & Brandy Gassner with ATB Wealth.

In this session, we will be exploring the topic of “Budgeting” through the lens of disability. Generally budgeting can be a great exercise that helps you to achieve your financial goals without too much sacrifice in the present time. Having and maintaining a budget will give you an idea of where your money is going and help you keep accountable and disciplined with your money. Where disabilities are present, often there are additional costs to keep in mind that need to be worked into the budget. In this session, we will be discussing these additional costs, as well as ways to manage your budget and make sure there is nothing left to chance.
