Neurodivergent Voices in Academia: Transforming Post Secondary Spaces

Recorded January 19, 2026

Join Autism Albera’s Alliance and their Post Secondary Community of Practice as they bring together diverse voices from across Canadian post-secondary institutions. Panelists discuss the following questions:

In what ways has your neurodivergence informed how you do your research or scholarly work? What unique perspectives do Autistic/Neurodivergent scholars bring to postsecondary education and research?

How has your neurodivergence supported your ability to create accessible and affirming learning environments for diverse students? Are there specific teaching strategies or accommodations that have worked particularly well for you or your students?

What advice would you give to early-career Autistic or other Neurodivergent academics entering postsecondary spaces, and how have you navigated the systemic barriers you have encountered?
