Supportive Parenting for Anxious Children

Recorded June 20, 2022. Join us to learn how parents can support their children’s development with guidance from psychologists. At Tandem Psychology, they are passionate about supporting family wellbeing. Learn how parent-led interventions can make a difference in your life. You will also learn simple and effective strategies you can immediately use to support your child’s emotional regulation and how to set limits that won’t lead to a big meltdown. Learn about a new treatment developed out of the Yale Child Study Center, Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) treatment. SPACE focuses on how parents can adjust their own behaviour for a long-lasting impact on their child’s anxiety. Participants will also leave the session with a better understanding how psychologists can support parents and children, and a starting point on how to access psychology related services.
