Join the Economic Inclusion Insight Community, a collaborative initiative by The Sinneave Family Foundation and Autism Society Alberta.

We want to do more than talk about problems. Together, we want to find practical ideas and real solutions that can help people.

Our goal is economic inclusion. For us, that means everyone is financially secure. Everyone has, as needed, access to reliable income, education, employment, housing, and supports.

Economic inclusion is essential for building a society where everyone can achieve economic well-being and realize their desired future.

How it works

The Insight Community is an online group for Autistic adults, family members, and neurodivergent students. To join, you must be 18 or older and live in Alberta.

We will ask you to comment on practices, share ideas and experiences using a text message communication system. What you share can help improve programs, services, and systems.

Taking part is simple:

  • Short chats: About twice a month, we will text you a link to a short text message chat. The chat uses Rival, a mobile-friendly platform. If the topic matters to you, you can join in.
  • Share in your own way: You can answer by text, voice, or video. Your privacy will be protected.

Together, we will:

  • Build solutions: We will learn together over time. This is a learning process for us, too. We don’t have all the answers, but by connecting with the same group of people on a regular basis, we can gather feedback and explore ideas in greater depth.
  • Learn: We will tell the community what we learn, so everyone can benefit.
  • Support change: We will share ideas and solutions with community partners in Alberta. This work can also help support Canada’s Autism Strategy.
